Our Diploma in Hospitality Management students went for an assignment related field trip last Saturday, 2nd June 2018. The field trip covers 7 famous tourist attractions in Singapore city centre. The places they visited are:
1. Raffles Place
2. Fullerton Hotel (exterior only)
3. Cavenagh Bridge
4. The Padang
5. Esplanade Park
6. Merlion Park
7. Marina Bay Waterfront
As part of their assignments of ‘Service Marketing’ and ‘Basic Hospitality and Tourism Management (BHTM)’ they are required to:
1. make a video at each of those places. They must show marketing or promotional tools used by the different attractions, with each group member identifying and describing the elements of 7P’s found.
2. show tourist interview in their video. In the interview, students need to ask name of tourist, country of origin and why did they visit that place.
We believe that this field trip is a good opportunity for them to transfer their theoretical knowledge into practical.
