The MBA is open to the world and challenges you to become the best you can be. It is based in the vibrancy of East London and led by expert academics to offer an accessible, flexible and stimulating springboard into your chosen career. Your journey to becoming a Master in Business Administration will include simulations, experiential and practice-based learning, exposure to experts from industry and politics as well as opportunities to build your personal capital and global network for continuous professional growth. The course prepares you for a changing world by developing your talents in enterprise, decision making, critical thinking and responsible leadership. You will learn to operate strategically, collaboratively and sustainably, deploying emerging digital technologies to exploit opportunities and solve society’s problems.

This ‘capstone’ module offers the opportunity to draw on what you have learned during the MBA, applying this knowledge systematically to analyse an identified business problem, generating fresh insights, innovations and valuable conclusions. By focusing on a topic of personal interest, the module will support your transition into work, integrating theoretical approaches, research evidence
and real-world problems. Furthermore, you will develop evidence-based approaches to problemsolving that are transferable into professional life.
The most insightful reports will be selected for publication in the RDSBL MBA Periodic Review.
Successful leaders of tomorrow require the skills, attitudes and acumen to operate in a complex and changing world. The digital revolution means that professionals will need both technical ability but also a range of meta skills such as adaptability, creativity, problem solving, teamwork, and leadership. This module explores the changing landscape of work, including identifying and
deploying talent, managing remote teams, using new technologies and identifying growth opportunities. But it is also about your future.
With the MBA Executive Coach, you will reflect on your place in the professional world, supporting you in realising your individual ambitions, building your own social capital beyond your studies to include professional development, digital fluency, accreditations, and networking, starting with core
professional standards, it will provide opportunities to develop the skills most in demand in the
changing economy ahead.
This is a stimulating and challenging module designed to surface your inner marketeer. You will learn to evaluate critically marketing strategies and campaigns, working collaboratively to propose innovative and creative marketing solutions, including for failing brands, while communicating your ideas in a compelling way. This module unleashes your creativity and equips you with the skills to create captivating digital campaigns. Here, you will master how to develop unique and powerful
marketing approaches by harnessing the digital landscape. The module will help you become adept with data analysis and interpretation to guide your strategic marketing decisions. You will be empowered with the knowledge, research techniques and skills necessary to take on dynamic and complex business challenges, with the focus on sustainability.

This integrated module challenges you to work convincingly across the organisation by developing a critical understanding of core business functions and how they interact. With a primary focus on Finance and Operations, you will also consider the impact of supply chains, resources and how projects are managed, delivered and negotiated.
You will become familiar with key financial concepts, techniques, tools and business decision-making including Capital Structure decisions, Budgeting and Capital Budgeting decisions. This will mirror the operations management essential for converting resources into products and services. Concepts covered include process analysis, capacity planning, supply chain management, lean operations, quality management, and sustainability. When leading projects, you will learn to be convincing interacting with both the Finance and Operations director.
Learning is brought together by engagement in a simulation where you will work collaboratively to tackle a business challenge holistically. Through the module, you will develop the skills to make data-driven financial decisions that optimise operational efficiency and enhance competitive advantage.
Organisations of all kinds operate within uncertain, ambiguous and changing environments. To succeed, they need strategic leaders capable of scanning the horizon to identify emerging threats and opportunities, putting in place robust plans to achieve their objectives. This hands-on module develops these essential skills by challenging you to think strategically, to question the status quo, to reflect, to innovate, and to lead within diverse teams. Your decision making will be tested as you determine how best to deploy resources, create value and transform them into strategic capabilities.
You will communicate strategically to set direction and advance the organisational mission. You will consider the nature of international business, global and local issues, emerging markets, political systems, trends and events.
Understanding strategic leadership and acquiring the skills to ‘do’ strategy are a key to performance. Increasingly, organisations expect their key people to be capable of thinking and acting strategically. In this module you will hone that craft, acquiring the transferable skills to make sense of change happening in the world, and the ability to develop relevant and context specific strategies. By learning about the schools of strategy, you will combine analytical and engagement tools to formulate and evaluate strategy. You will reflect on the most basic strategic question of all: how do we best position, and compete, to maximise value and profits in a sustainable way?
This module is designed to develop the skills, mindset, and strategic acumen required to thrive in dynamic and competitive business environments. You will embark on a journey that begins with cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, which is foundational to identifying new opportunities, thinking innovatively, and taking calculated risks. You will explore characteristics that define successful business leadership, such as resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving, while learning to leverage these qualities to overcome business challenges.
You will address the need for market research and opportunity identification, analyse target markets, understand customer values, and assess competitive landscapes to pinpoint viable opportunities and approach new ventures with data-driven insights.
You will explore business model development, creating value propositions, ensuring scalability, as well as funding and finance, revenue streams, cost structures, and sustainability.
Finally, the module emphasises the importance of creative leadership, collaboration and ethical decision-making, ensuring you are equipped to lead teams, create positive organisational cultures, and navigate challenges as they arise.
In this module will enable you to explore the process of creating, evaluating and developing strategy and operations. You will be introduced to the challenges and practices associated with becoming strategic leaders and how organizations manage their operations.
The module aims to develop the personal and professional skills that enhance employability and career opportunities. On the other hand, the module aims to develop your understanding and skills in people management and leadership. You will learn some key theories that underpin the latest thinking in the knowledge and skills of being an outstanding leader and manager, regardless of sector (private, public, or non-profit sector).
This module is designed to introduce you to contemporary principles and practices in marketing, in a customer focused and market oriented organisation. Relationship marketing is the recent marketing approach that develops around the buying and consumption experience. As such the module aims to develop your in depth understanding of the strategic role of marketing in business, and its impact on the market and society in the digital age.
As a business professional managing an organization, you will find yourself working in changing, challenging, and complex global environments. Therefore, management has increasingly focused on skills and self-development, including key emotional, psychological, and social determinants of human performance that are critical for successful professional practice. This module, as a ‘mental wealth’ initiative, aims to develop a full range of skills, competencies, and experiences required for successful performance and practice in various potential careers. Your personal and professional development will be fueled by advancing your analytical, emotional, cultural, cognitive, and social intelligences through taught sessions and workshop activities based on reflective practices. The module will enhance your potential by introducing you to a wide range of approaches, including reflective skills, self-care, and empathetic alertness, and equip you with the confidence, competencies, and courage to lead. This module provides the opportunity for you to demonstrate the ability to diagnose and investigate complex business issues from various perspectives, situate the work within the body of contemporary knowledge, derive supportable conclusions, and make practical and actionable recommendations for change, improvement, or enhancement of current practices at individual, organizational, and community levels.
The aim of this module is for you to develop, maintain and evaluate a successful organisation through advanced analysis and synthesis of data in a simulated ‘live’ context.
The module is designed to embed theoretical perspectives through participation in a business simulation over a number of financial years.
The aim of this module is to enable you to conduct a live applied business project. This could include a work-based project, business simulation, Bloomberg project, project management report, or case study.
Admission Criteria
Age Requirement: At least 20 years old
Academic Requirement
- Lower Second Class classification (2:2) from an undergraduate degree or equivalent
- A non-graduate qualification for mature students who are at least 30 years old and with minimum of 8 years of working experience
English Entry Requirement
For those candidates whose first language is not English, they are excepted to have:
- at least an IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening),
- or the equivalent
Exemptions / Credit Transfer / Advanced Standing
Candidates who do not hold such qualifications (i.e.: formal qualifications which marginally fall short of the normal minimum entry requirements) and are at least 30 years old will be assessed as to their suitability through interview, and where necessary the taking of references. They should be compensated for by his/her relevant work experience provided that such candidates have held, for a minimum of eight years, a responsible position which is relevant to the Master’s degree to be pursued.

- Part-Time: This follows the UK weekend/evening class model, with students required to complete the same total learning hours as full-time students. Part-time classes are conducted on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Candidates who successfully complete and pass all required modules amounting to 180 credits in accordance with the academic regulations and assessment requirements of the University will be awarded the Master of Business Administration by the University of East London, UK.
